Signal Issues with the iPhone 4s?

My Fiance and I both purchased the new iPhone 4s. One major complaint I had with the iPhone 4 was the signal issue, whenever you covered the bottom left hand corner of the handset the signal would drop until there was none. I was reassured by Apple that this problem was rectified, I was even told about slight modifications being made to the design to solve the issue, and was shown the black strips to the top left and top right hand corners of the phone

I have now been using the phone for two days, and today the signal cut out on me. I have tested and can confirm the issue is STILL there. Why hasn't apple corrected this issue? As proof I have uploaded a video which can be seen below. To the best of my knowledge, I am the first to document this issue on the new handset from Apple.
